Senior health programming to address arthritis, dental health and diabetes

Covenant Village of Golden Valley will host a series of health programming at its continuing care retirement community campus, located at 5800 St. Croix Ave. N., Golden Valley, Minn. “Put Arthritis in Its Place” on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. – The Arthritis Foundation and the National Council on Aging will share the tools seniors need to manage arthritis pain.

“Dental Health Seminar” on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m., Nancy Hamson, registered dental hygienist with Basset Creek Dental, will share the latest treatments for oral health and provide tips for maintaining optimal dental health at any age.

“Diabetes Deconstructed” on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. – Deb Vevers, certified diabetes educator and registered dietitian/nutritionist at North Memorial Hospital, will explain the dynamics of diabetes and the role of diet and exercise in prevention.
