The public is invited to a Songwriter's Walking Concert and Outdoor Public Art Exhibit at Perpich
Center for Arts Education at 4 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, May 15-16, weather permitting.
Individual songwriters from Perpich Arts High School are composing both vocal and instrumental pieces inspired by various locations throughout the Perpich campus and will perform them while visual arts students will create works also inspired by location, weather and the out-of-doors.
Attendees will hear the music performed live as they walk around the beautiful Perpich campus with its rolling, curving pathways and small pond while at the same time viewing the works of art that are paired with the music.

For those who drive by Perpich on Olson Memorial Highway and see only the parking lot and the high school building from the road, the campus behind the high school will come as a welcome surprise with its park-like serenity.
The walking concert and public art exhibit are being presented by students from the songwriting/music business class mentored by music instructor Janika Vandervelde and the public art class taught by visual arts instructor Pat Benincasa.
