Research shows that over the summer, the average student loses two to three months’ worth of math and reading skills learned the previous school year. By sixth grade, this accounts for some students being up to two grade levels behind their peers. But have no fear, the Golden Valley Library is providing fun and free programs this summer to keep those academic skills sharp!
