With Election Day around the corner, I want to pitch Patch readers about why they should elect Gillian Rosenquist to the Golden Valley City Council. As an experienced and active civic leader, lawyer, and mother of three, I have a unique perspective and skill set. As an independent candidate, I am not tied to a party platform or agenda, freeing me to focus on and advocate for Golden Valley.
I hope in the next four years to focus on keeping Golden Valley unique, vital and evolving. We can do this by developing cultural, art and music organizations and events; by streamlining the process for and supporting the growth of unique retail, dining, recreation and transport options; and by engaging residents to make development fit with their needs and wants.
I hope to increase our connectivity in many ways by focusing on neighborhoods and safe, non-car routes to parks, trails and gathering spaces.
