AnnapurnaBlue Health &amp; Wellness: A Sanctuary for Renewal AnnapurnaBlue Health &amp; Wellness was created from a simple yet powerful belief: that true healing happens when we care for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Founded by Deborah Peteler, AnnapurnaBlue offers transformative wellness retreats and programs designed for individuals navigating life transitions, health challenges, emotional overwhelm, and personal reinvention. With over 30 years of experience in trauma-informed care and holistic wellness practices, Deborah blends ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches to create safe, supportive environments where real healing can take place. Our retreats — held both locally in Minnesota and internationally — are intentionally designed to help participants slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. Through gentle Qigong movement, meditation, sound healing, breathwork, mindset sessions, and meaningful group dialogue, participants gain tools to manage stress, navigate change, and build emotional resilience. AnnapurnaBlue is especially supportive of women ages 35–70+ navigating grief, life-altering illness, menopause, empty nesting, career transitions, and other profound shifts. We believe these seasons of life are not endings — they are powerful invitations to rise. Our programs are inclusive, nurturing, and deeply respectful of each individual’s journey. Last year, Seth Gellman and Chandler Luhowskyj worked on a financial literacy curriculum for nine months and coordinated with staff in every school to line up instruction times, helping to teach virtually every student in the district about financial literacy. Gellman and Luhowskyj aren't professional educators, though. Gellman is a Hopkins High School senior and Luhowskyj is a junior. The two did the project as part of a competition in which they won first at the 2012 <a href="http://www.deca.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">DECA</a> State Career Development Conference. As Gellman's and Luhowskyj's experience attests, DECA offers students experiences far beyond the normal school day. The group "prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management," according to the organization. Hopkins Public Schools produced a video that shows how local students have benefitted from DECA. Check it out in the player above.
