Likely the most frequent question we hear at Tech Dump Electronics Recycling has something to do with "what are you going to do with ALL OF MY STUFF?"
We are glad that people are taking a step to dispose of their unwanted items-- responsibly. The EPA estimates only ~25% of electronics are recycled. That fact still shocks us!
When you either drop off your unwanted electronics at our warehouse or an event or have us pick them up, we decide if items can be reused or just need to be recycled.
If we can reuse an item, it saves the most natural resources. We wipe all of the personal data off of the item, and find it a new home.
If an item is too old or broken to reuse, we divide it into its components (plastic, steel, cords, boards, and more!) and work with local processors, so that it can become something new.
You can trust that when you give us your electronics that our process will keep your data safe while keeping the environment in mind!
