Whiz Kid: Why Lyndsay Gusek is a Triple Threat

This Robbinsdale Armstrong senior is a whiz in academics, arts and athletics.

This week we're celebrating a college-bound Robbinsdale Armstrong student who has mastered the three R's and the three A's.  Congratulations, Lyndsay!

Lyndsay Gusek, a member of the Robbinsdale Armstrong High School varsity track team, was nominated for the annual Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Triple A award.  The award is given to students who excel in academics, arts and athletics.

Lyndsay is a National Merit Finalist, plays the flute in band and orchestra and runs on the cross-country team.

She went on to win the 6AA Regional Triple A Award and will advance to consideration for the Minnesota state award later this month.

"Triple A winners are fantastic kids," says Tia Clasen, communications director for the Robbinsdale Area Schools.  "I taught a few of them myself.  They are amazing."

Lyndsay plans to attend the University of Minnesota.
