Young Adults Encouraged To Apply For Emerging Environmental Leaders Program In Golden Valley

EEL elevates young people's voice and presence in protecting Minnesota's environment. Applications for the program are due Sunday, March 7.

The State of Minnesota’s Environmental Quality Board, in partnership with the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment, is seeking 15 young Minnesotans (ages 18-24) to apply for the spring 2021 cohort of the Emerging Environmental Leaders (EEL) program.

EEL elevates young people’s voice and presence in protecting Minnesota’s environment. In 2021, EEL members will learn and practice skills in environmental leadership, build relationships with state government leaders, and help plan and facilitate a joint meeting of the governor’s Climate Change Subcabinet and the Environmental Quality Board to bring Minnesota youth voices forward on climate change and other environmental issues.

A $500 stipend is provided to participating EELs.
