• Mesabi Trail completion Minnesota: 165-mile route opens after 30 years (thedogoodpress.com) — Grand Rapids now anchors one end of the fully completed 165-mile Mesabi Trail, giving local cyclists, walkers, and skiers a continuous paved route all the way to Ely. The long-planned trail links 28 Iron Range communities, passes historic mining sites and scenic forests, and offers easy access to camping, lodging, and year-round outdoor recreation for residents starting right from town.
