• Victory No. 1 is elusive for Hopkins football (hometownsource.com) — Hopkins football fans are watching a tough season as the Royals fall to 0-5 after narrow losses to Park of Cottage Grove and Roseville, including a close homecoming game. Standout junior quarterback Tre Moore and several powerful backs are bright spots as the team prepares for upcoming matchups at Eastview on Oct. 9 and at Hopkins High Stadium on Oct. 14.
• Green Line LRT trains to and from EP slated to start June 12, 2027 (eplocalnews.org) — Hopkins is one of several municipal partners celebrating the long-awaited opening date for the Green Line light rail extension, now set for June 12, 2027. The $2.86 billion project will link Eden Prairie through Hopkins and other suburbs to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, offering new connections to buses, Amtrak, and the Blue Line despite years of cost overruns and political scrutiny.
