Hopkins student Samantha McCarroll-Hyne was one of 17 students nationwide to receive a financial award to the prestigious McNally Smith College of Music, according to a news release.
McCarroll-Hyne received the “Incoming Merit Scholarship” to the 600-student St. Paul institution. The scholarship was awarded based upon quality of auditions and other supporting materials.
The organization did not specify the amount of the scholarship.
