Open Circle day services is a non-profit, person centered, adult day program for older adults with dementia or other physical or cognitive challenges. Our members enjoy daily activities and access to healthcare and social services while their caregivers receive much needed respite. Open Circle’s goal is to keep our members and their loved ones united, within their respective homes and communities, for as long as possible. Community volunteers play a vital role in helping Open Circle staff meet the social, emotional, spiritual and cognitive needs of our members. Open Circle Volunteers can assist in any number of areas including; activities, dining, light cleaning, outings and one to one socializing. Many of our volunteers share their interests, hobbies and talents with our members. These might include; music, dog therapy, gardening, painting, woodworking, cooking, crafts, spiritual groups and much more. Many volunteers simply love to sit down and share a cup of coffee with one of our participants. Most importantly, Open Circle volunteers have the satisfaction of knowing they have helped to make a difference in someone’s life.
