Monday, Dec. 26

  • 12:40 p.m. — Employees at the Blake Road Holiday told police that someone stole a 20-ounce Coke and had stolen items in the past. The suspect left before officers could issue a trespass notice.
  • 8:29 p.m. — Police went to following a report of a man drinking in the restaurant and refusing to leave. Officers made the man a reservation at Hennepin County’s Chicago Service Center.

Tuesday, Dec. 27

  • 3:10 p.m. — reported that someone slashed tires on vehicles over the weekend.

  • 10:39 a.m. — A man told police someone stole a GPS and other items from inside his vehicle.
  • 5:10 p.m. — Someone cut wires on Christmas lights at Westbrooke Patio Homes.

Thursday, Dec. 29

  • 10:17 p.m. — staff flagged down police to report fighting. Officers detained one person.

  • 11:28 a.m. — told police that someone stole scrap from the business.
  • 1:46 p.m. — Someone broke into a business at 8940 Excelsior Blvd.
  • 3:21 p.m. — A resident reported that someone had tampered with a fuel line on a vehicle parked on the 600 block Second Street South. The vehicle had been leaking gas. When it was towed to the dealership, the line was found to have been messed with.

Saturday, Dec. 31

  • 12:45 a.m. — Officers took one person into custody for obstructing officers at Westside Village after being flagged down at the apartment complex.
  • 7:56 a.m. — A Meadow Creek Condos resident told police that someone rummaged through their vehicle. Nothing was taken.
  • 12:32 p.m. — Someone caused a six-inch scratch on a vehicle parked on the 700 block of 11th Avenue South and spit on the doors.
  • 1:39 p.m. — Another Meadow Creek Condos resident reported that someone went through their vehicle. A key fob was missing.
  • 11:42 p.m. — Police detained a man following an assault at Hopkins Park Plaza.

Sunday, Jan. 1

  • 6:04 p.m. — A Hopkins Park Plaza woman told police that someone stole money from her purse sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The woman went to sleep and found her purse and contents on the floor with $800 missing when she awoke. There was no damage to the door.
