Monday, March 12

  • 12:25 a.m. — A Lake Street Northeast woman told police she saw someone walk by her window. When she went to the window and looked through the blinds, she saw a tall, thin juvenile looking in. Police didn’t find anyone in the area.
  • 7:31 a.m. — A resident told police that someone stole gas from a truck parked on the 8800 block of Excelsior Boulevard. 
  • 7:53 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an unspecified assault at 105 13th Ave. S.
  • 8:42 a.m. — Police learned that someone stole a van that was parked on the 8800 block of Excelsior Boulevard.
  • 1:58 p.m. — The Blake Road received a counterfeit bill.
  • 8:09 p.m. — A man punched a vehicle in the Highway 7 parking lot. The person who reported the incident then chased him to Robinwood Lane.

Tuesday, March 13

  • 11:59 a.m. — A resident reported that someone stole $160 worth of items that had been left overnight in the trunk of a car parked at a Herman Terrace home.
  • 1:16 p.m. — Police received a report of a theft of unspecified items from a vehicle parked near the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and First Street North.

  • 12:02 a.m. — Security at told police he heard shots from the Blake Road Holiday. A Hiawatha Court resident told police he also heard shots and his window had a hole in it.
  • 3:28 p.m. — A Herman Terrace resident told police someone has put dog poop on her porch on numerous occasions.

  • 10:25 a.m. — A man told police someone stole a $1,000 laptop from the trunk of his vehicle. He last saw the laptop when he was at . However, he made several stops in Hopkins and St. Louis Park the night before.

  • 1:49 a.m. — Someone stole unspecified items from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of 11th Avenue South.
  • 3:00 a.m. — Police talked with a person who was dumping goldfish into Nine Mile Creek near the intersection of Sixth Street South and 11th Avenue South.
  • 2:02 p.m. — A Westbrooke resident told police a neighbor was pounding on the door and harassing the residents inside. The person who contacted police said the man had made inappropriate remarks to the child. Officers found the man drunk when they contacted him and told him to stay inside.
  • 7:46 p.m. — Police received a report that a man broke into a apartment and was arguing with the person who made the report. The suspect returned two hours later, and police arrested him.

Sunday, March 18

  • 1:05 a.m. — Police arrested a woman after a man said she slapped him in the face at Peace Valley Townhomes.
  • 9:20 a.m. — Someone threw black paint on a vehicle while it was parked near the intersection of 11th Avenue South and Sixth Street South the night before.
