Blotter: More Vehicle Break-Ins?

Monday, Nov. 7

  • 4:54 a.m. — Someone tried to break into a vehicle park in a driveway on the 100 block of Maple Hill Road. The person ran away toward Blake Road.
  • 5:10 a.m. — Police received a report that a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Homedale Road had been broken into.
  • 5:11 a.m. — Someone broke a window on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Homedale Road.
  • 7:02 a.m. — Someone stole $300 worth of property from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Meadowbrook Road.
  • 7:47 a.m. — Someone stole $150 worth of property from a vehicle parked on the zero block of Meadowbrook Road.
  • 9:46 a.m. — A BMW convertible parked on the 100 block of Homedale Road was found with its roof cut and the glove box open. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
  • 10:14 a.m. — A Homedale Road resident told police that someone had tampered with their vehicle. The passenger door was ajar and the glove box had been rifled through. 
  • 1:21 p.m. — Someone stole $4 from a Ford Explorer parked in a driveway on the 100 block of Homedale Road.
  • 2:49 p.m. — A Meadowbrook Road resident told police that someone went through a vehicle the night beforewhile it was parked on the 200 block of the road.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

  • 8:50 a.m. — An 11th Avenue resident told police that a roommate tried to smash windows and was attempting to start fights. The person was taken to detox.
  • 10:47 a.m. — A Maple Hill Road resident told police that someone went through their vehicle Saturday or Sunday night. Nothing was missing.
  • 5:27 p.m. — reported that someone removed a piece of the display case. Nothing was taken.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

  • 7:33 a.m. — Cash was taken from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Althea Lane.
  • 8:02 a.m. — Someone broke into vehicles parked on the 300 block of Herman Terrace—taking $100 worth of property and causing $250 in property damage.
  • 8:19 a.m. — Someone smashed windows on vehicles parked on the 300 block of First Street North—causing a loss of $129.
  • 9:07 a.m. — A GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Herman Terrace. 
  • 9:30 a.m. — Someone stole a Blackberry from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Monroe Avenue North.
  • 9:49 a.m. — A flashlight and ear protection worth $25 total were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Ridgewood Drive.
  • 10:40 a.m. — Someone went through a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Ridgewood Drive. Nothing appeared to be taken.
  • 3:41 p.m. — A employee told police that someone stole $87 from her purse while she was working. Her identification and credit cards were not stolen.

Thursday, Nov. 10

  • 5:12 p.m. — reported that a customer shoplifted a can of pop.

  • 2:16 p.m. — A laptop was stolen from the .
  • 8:19 p.m. — reported that a patron was refusing to leave. The patron was taken to detox.

Saturday, Nov. 12

  • 12:00 p.m. — Officers took a resident to the Hennepin County Detention Center following a report of a domestic assault at Meadow Creek Condos.

Sunday, Nov. 13

  • 7:06 p.m. — A Ninth Avenue North resident told police that $300 worth of guitars were stolen sometime since Nov. 11.
