Blotter: ‘Sexual Items’ at the Front Door

Monday, April 2
- 5:38 p.m. — A woman told police someone stole her children’s baseball bats while they were playing near and then sold the bats to other children. The bats were returned.
Tuesday, April 3
- 1:39 a.m. — The Blake Road Holiday reported that a woman loaded her pockets with items and ran out of the store. All property was released back to Holiday.
- 6:57 a.m. — Someone broke into a taxi while it was parked at Westside Village.
- 11:33 a.m. — Someone stole a Pioneer SuperTuner stereo, worth $200 total, from a car parked on the 600 block of North Van Buren Trail.
- 11:45 a.m. — Police received another report of a vehicle break-in on the 600 block of North Van Buren Trail, this time $80 worth of items from an unlocked vehicle.
- 2:51 p.m. — Another Van Buren Trail resident told police someone had broken into a vehicle.
- 3:00 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an unspecified burglary on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue North.
- 7:05 p.m. — A resident told police that two people stole a 1994 Chrysler LeBaron after the resident stopped to check on two drunk men in the road near the intersection of First Street North and 14th Avenue North early April 1. When both the driver and passenger got out of the car, the men got in and stole it.

- 10:42 a.m. — A Jackson Avenue resident told police that someone charged $500 to their iTunes account after the iPod was lost in .
- 11:14 a.m. — Someone stole a work laptop from a work vehicle while it was parked on the 900 block of Second Street North.
- 11:27 a.m. — A resident told police someone damaged a vehicle door while trying to break into it.

- 3:16 a.m. — Someone hit two vehicles with baseball bats while the vehicles were parked at Summit on 7.
- 5:33 a.m. — Officers responded to Goodrich Street and Maple Hill Road after reports of screaming in the area. They learned after they arrived that there was a fox in the area.
- 9:42 a.m. — told police that someone left “sexual items” by the front door and a muffler sign in the parking lot. Beef jerky sticks were also strewn throughout the lot. The business requested an extra patrol. It wasn’t known whether it was children or an upset customer or neighbor.
- 6:41 p.m. — Police went to Brentwood Apartments following a report of a mother and son arguing. The son was very drunk. Officers placed the son on a detox hold.
Saturday, April 7
- 2:39 a.m. — A taxi driver told police that a passenger punched him and left without paying his $23 fare.
- 5:05 p.m. — Someone broke into a garage at . Nothing was taken.
- 8:27 p.m. — Someone stole a $220 radio from a vehicle while it was parked at .
Sunday, April 8
- 7:37 p.m. — A stereo was stolen from a Toyota Corolla parked at Meadow Creek Condos.
