Hopkins boys rugby teams racked up a pair of wins against Mounds View on April 20.
The varsity team beat Mounds View 34-22. Dion Brown scored a try (5 points) in his first rugby game. Other scorers were
- Juan Perez-Isiordia (2 tries for 10 points),
- Trey Goeman (2 tries for 10 points),
- Anthony Clifton (1 try for 5 points) and
- Trace Bolstad (2 conversions for 4 points).
Mounds View had 4 tries and 1 conversion for 22 points.

Hopkins also won its junior varsity game against Mounds View 38-5. The following players scored:
- Zy Mosley (1 try for 5 points)
- Alex Holden (3 tries, 4 conversions for 23 points)
- Carter Eng (1 try for 5 points)
- Sam Dahle (1 try for 5 points)
