Hopkins Royals Football Team Defeats Episcopal With Photo Finish Ending

Hopkins Royals Football Team have big win in season opener.

The Hopkins Royals Football Team pulled out an exciting 20-14 season opener win against Houston-based Episcopal on Saturday at Hopkins' Royals Stadium. Quarterback J.T. DenHartog ran for 2 touchdowns, including the first touchdown of the season in the first half, and the Royals' final touchdown with 41 seconds left in the game. Running back David Cliett ran for the Royals' second touchdown in the first half.

The Royals next face Bloomington Kennedy this Thursday.  Thursday's game starts at 7:00 p.m. at Bloomington Kennedy High School.
