How To Pick the Perfect Pet Professional
Our pets have become an important part of our families. See what you can do to make sure they are well taken care of for years to come!

Over the years, our pets have become more and more a part of our family. Because of this importance, we have seen vet clinics, groomers, boarding facilities, doggy daycares, and many other pet related businesses going up all over our community. The question is how do you sift through all of these businesses to find the perfect fit for you and your pet?
Here are a few tips to send you in the right direction:
1. Talk to the Employees

When you talk to the employees, make sure you feel like you are going to be able to maintain a long term relationship with them. Are they open to communicating with you if you have any questions or concerns?
Also, are they not only friendly with you, but your pet. It is a three way relationship that needs to be established.

Are they knowledgeable within their profession? Are they dedicated to continuing education within their field of expertise or even motivated to learn more about other aspects of the pet industry?
2. Visit the Facilities
The first thing you want to make sure is that the facility is clean and well maintained. Diseases can spread or a pet can be injured in a faciliy that is not well maintained.
By visiting the facility, you can get a sense of what the environment is like. Are the people a positive group of people to be around? Do they work well together? This can all affect the experience that you and your pet have at that facility.
3. Talk to Friends, Neighbors, and Trusted Pet Professionals
It is best to learn about a business through word of mouth. This way you can hear first hand what other people have experienced at a business and if it is worth the time to check out.
Hopefully this can get you started on the right track to finding your Perfect Pet Professionals for your pets. Once you find the ones you trust, keep them. They get to know your pets. They can let you know if your pet is acting differently or find some lumps and bumps that may have gone unnoticed.
