Daytripper: Franconia Hosts Art And Artists Celebration
This daylong festival celebrates artists and their work.
Located less than an hour northeast of the Twin Cities in the St. Croix River Valley, Franconia is a quaint little hamlet. On Sept. 24, the community, will hold its 15th Annual Art & Artists Celebration.
A thriving artists community made up of residences and workshops exits in Franconia.
This daylong festival (10 am to 10 pm) celebrates artists, their work, and installation of new sculptures in the sculpture park. Besides many artists showing their works, there will be live music, poetry reading, lots of activities for kids including a sculpturing workshop, a community hot metal pour, dancing and plenty of food and beverages.
