This year’s fall choir concert, “Con Moto” features 56 singers from two vocal ensembles: MSSPA Choir and MSSPA Chamber Singers. Both groups are a combination of returning and new MSSPA students, creating a rich amalgam of experienced and new talent.
The concert will feature five pieces each by the two choirs, as well as solo performances by choir students. Students have been rehearsing since early September while studying note reading, sight singing, healthy vocal development and how to sing as an ensemble.
“Con Moto” will feature a variety of pieces from the Renaissance era through 1960s pop music. And both choirs have learned an a cappella folksong that involves rhythmic choreography.
