University students will soon be filling the with their work.
The Twin Cities Undergraduate Showcase features the best in student artwork from nine schools:
- College of Visual Arts
- Augsburg College
- Minneapolis College of Art and Design
- College of St. Catherine
- Concordia University
- Macalester College
- University of Minnesota
- Minneapolis Community Technical College
- The Art Institutes International Minnesota.
Each school chose four undergraduate pieces in any media and will provide a statement about their program and the works.

“One of the purposes of the exhibition is to showcase the arts programs in the Twin Cities,” Fawzia Khan, visual arts committee chair at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, was quoted in a news release. “This is a chance to articulate what is unique and commendable about each program.”
The free opening reception takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 3. Visitors will be able to meet some of the artists, and some of the art will be for sale.
