Grab & Go Kids Planner: Feb. 24

A weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with the kids. Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.


Where/When: (9451 Excelsior Blvd) on Friday, Feb. 25 from 6-11 p.m.
Why Go: Although the event is open to everyone, this is a good low-key venue to send your teens to enjoy an evening of live music.


Where/When: (22 11th Ave N) on Friday, Feb. 25 from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Books are great for all ages; especially when the books are a dollar a piece or less and the proceeds will be reinvested in the library.


Where/When: In the Deephaven Room at the on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Why Go: First, it’s a dance party. Second, you can dress like your favorite animal. And thirdly, there will be a limbo contest.
Price: Pay at the door. $5 for children aged 2+, children younger than 1 are free, maximum of $8 per family


Where/When:  in Richfield on Friday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
Why Go: Take the family out to enjoy all the new snow.
Price: Rentals - $8/person (16-55 years), $4/person (under 16 and over 55)

Why Go: You get to jam out with your very own homemade wind instrument.
Price: $10/person
