Hopkins wrestlers narrowly missed out on a spot in the state tournament.
The No. 3-seed Royals beat No. 6 Robbinsdale-Armstrong 40-30 in their first matchup of Saturday’s 6AAA section team tournament at Mound Westonka High School. But Hopkins lost to No. 2 Wayzata 34-25 in the semifinals.
Nine teams participated in the meet, with Willmar High School coming out on top.
