Jack Yee Scheduled for Tax Forfeiture Auction
The property will be up for bid at the April 27 auction.

The former should soon have a new owner. The shuttered property is scheduled to go up for bid at Hennepin County’s April 27 tax forfeiture auction.
Hennepin County has set a minimum bid of $95,000 for the vacant 3,900-square-foot commercial building. The sale will take place at 9 a.m. in the Hennepin County Government Center’s A-level auditorium.
There will be an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 10.

Hopkins ordered Jack Yee to close in August 2009 because of health and sanitation violations. The city revoked the restaurant’s license in November 2009 when the restaurant continued to do business anyway. A month later, following a district court injunction, the city changed the locks and forced the owner to remove perishables—closing the business for good.
