MNYC Art Club artists, and parents painted bowls for "The 17th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser For Hunger." Photography by: Kyle Olson (MNYC)

Dominique Pierre-Toussaint & Tracie Nelson Stanton Co-founders of Minnesota Youth Community F.O.C.U.S (Find Our Control Using Skills) Clubs gives back to our communities. Last Thursday on January 29th, Minnesota Youth Community held their 2nd annual “MNYC 2015 Empty Bowls Family Night.” This is the organizations way of showing the youth in their MNYC Art Club, the importance of using their skills to help others. Our MNYC Art Club artists, and parents painted bowls for “The 17th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser For Hunger.” It will be held on Tuesday March 24, 2015. This is a quote from Barb Westmoreland beautiful little granddaughter Lyla, who had her first experience painting for Empty Bowls with MNYC & Lead Instructor Kathy Israel.

Lyla talking to her Mommy & Daddy: “I painted every color except for red because I ran out of room on my bowl. But I still think someone will choose it because it will be beautiful!”

Thank you to Barb Westmoreland (Empty Bowls), Kathy Israel (Empty Bowls) & Lisa Walker (Community Education), for supporting Minnesota Youth Community efforts with youth.
