Hopkins girls soccer traveled to Edina Tuesday evening for a conference match-up. It was a defensive battle for both teams. The Royals had plenty of shots on goal but were unable to get them past the Edina goalkeeper. The game was tied 0-0 after regulation play. The game went into a 10-minute overtime consisting of two 5-minute halves. After overtime, the game still remained 0-0. Shootouts are only held in conference, sections and state tournaments. The Royals record now sits at 2-1-1. Next up is a home game against Eden Prairie at 5 p.m. Thursday.
