Community Corner

(PHOTOS) Hopkins In Motion Provides Fun Fall Potion

A little wind didn't prevent people from enjoying the annual event.

Wind added a little extra movement Saturday to this year's event. The community-wide event offered a wide variety of activities—including a climbing wall, active demonstrations, face painting and tasty foods. Numerous vendors lined one block of Ninth Avenue. vendors remained open to sell fresh produce to attendees. And of course there was the traditional Bouja—a rich, hearty soup.

The event was created in 2009 to celebrate Hopkins’ status as a “livable, walkable community.” Hopkins is the third most walkable community in Minnesota, behind only Minneapolis and St. Paul, according to Walk Score.
