(PHOTOS) Hopkins Runs At Roy Griak Invitational
Royals boys, girls competed on a perfect Saturday afternoon.
It was a perfect day for a run, and the Hopkins cross-country teams made the most of it by competing in the Roy Griak Invitational on the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.
The Hopkins boys placed 12th, while the girls came in 18th in the team standings of the Gold Division—the top rung of high school competition at the multi-state meet.
John Klecker led the Royals boys with a 21st-place individual time of 16 minutes, 27.39 seconds, followed by Joe Klecker in 53rd in 16:51.44.

Also contibuting to the Hopkins result were: (17:07.84) in 84th, Thomas Heegaard (17:21.84) in 114th and Reed Fischer (17:29.94) in 142nd.
Among the 471 total finishers were Royals runners Patrick Gallagher (17:54.34) in 223rd, John Harn (18:15.04) in 296th and Blake Mintaler (18:15.04) in 297th.

For the girls, Isabell Hall led the way for Hopkins with an 87th-place time of 20:34.2, with Sarah Klecker coming in 108th in 20:44.8.
Among those chipping in for the Royals final result were: Anna Hall (20:46.8) in 112th, Mary Klecker (21:01.2) in 142nd and Madeline Hinck (21:09.6) in 153rd.
Finishing amongst the 410 to complete the five-filometer course were Hopkins runners Courtney Branch (21:35.7) in 196th, Katie Craemer (21:42.3) in 215th and Margaret Stelzner (22:05.5) in 254th.
