(PHOTOS) Kids and Company Students Learn the Rules of the Road
The students prepared for a 'bicycling adventure' Tuesday.
Kids and Company students got a hand-on lesson in bike safety from Hopkins and Minnetonka police officers Monday at Hopkins West Junior High.
The students in the Hopkins Public Schools program learned the rules of the road, how to ride safely and even how police can become bike officers. The police helped them test their skills in a bicycle course, fit their helmets properly and check that their bikes functioned properly.
The lessons were in preparation for Tuesday’s “bicycling adventure” between Lynnhurst Park and Minnehaha Falls. Check back with Patch later this week for a video of the 20-mile adventure.
