(PHOTOS) Raspberry Festival Crowns Junior Royalty

The first, second and third graders will represent Hopkins for the next year.

Sixteen 6- to 8-year-olds competed for four spots in the Raspberry Festival’s Royal Family during Wednesday night’s Junior Royalty Coronation at the .

After the candidates answered questions and performed a song, the judges chose the following children for 2012-13 junior royalty:

  • Junior Queen: Hanna Anderla, second grade, , of Hopkins
  • Junior King: Avyakth Shriram, first grade, , of Hopkins
  • Junior Princess: Divya Ramanan, third grade, , of Hopkins
  • Junior Prince: Bennett Frodermann, first grade, , of Eden Prairie

The coronations continue Thursday evening with the Royalty Coronation and Royal Ball, when young women 17 to 25 years old will compete for three positions in the Royal Family. The event takes place from 7 p.m. until midnight at the .
