Richfield Man Accused of Forging Prescription at Blake Road Walgreens

Robert Lamont Swarn said he wanted oxycodone so someone else could sell it.

A Richfield man is accused of forging a prescription for oxycodone in an attempt to get the narcotic from the , according to charging documents filed Thursday.

Hopkins police went to the store Tuesday after pharmacy personnel identified a forged prescription from 32-year-old Robert Lamont Swarn, Detective Renee Meuwissen wrote in the charging documents. Officers later called Park Nicollet and confirmed the prescription was forged.

The pharmacy contacted police again when Swarn returned to pick up the prescription, and officers arrested him.

Swarn admitted he forged the prescription in order for someone else to sell the oxycodone later.

Prosecutors have charged Swarn with fifth-degree drug possession, which carries a sentence of six months to 10 years in prison and a $6,000 to $20,000 fine.

In 2003, he was convicted of fifth-degree drug possession. His sentence was stayed for three years, and his case was closed in 2006.
