Ridgedale YMCA partners with MNYC to provide a Water Safety Program

Abbey’s Hope recently awarded $35,000
in grants to the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities in support of the
YMCA’s Water Safety Instruction Program. This partnership, in its third
year, allows local children from immigrant and low-income backgrounds to
be equipped with basic water safety skills and awareness.  MNYC (Minnesota Youth Community) would like to thank the Ridgedale YMCA for providing transportation and the opportunity for the youth in the Hopkins community to participate in this great program.  MNYC would like to say thank you to the following people for taking the time during this winter break vacation on December 23rd, 27th & 30th January 2nd & 3rd.  We appreciate your volunteer hours and with helping this program succeed.  Thank you to Chantelle Burgess, Michael "Doobie" Kurus, Cindy Proell, Rashad Cohen, John Ruechert (Papa Ruek), Teri Larson, Dr. Stanley Brown, Joe Mathison, Sonya M. Smith, John Hassan, Tracie Stanton (MNYC), Becca Fink, JoAnne Robinson, Kennedy Pierre-Toussaint & Dominique "Mr. Neek" Pierre-Toussaint (MNYC).
