(PHOTOS) Royals Hockey Struggles Against Minnetonka

The Hopkins girls hockey team lost 5-1 against the Skippers during their Hockey Day Minnesota game.

The girls hockey traveled to Minnetonka on Saturday afternoon for the last game of three that were played at the as part of . 

After falling behind 0-1, the Royals responded with a goal of their own to even the score. The game went into the second period with the teams even at 1. 

The Skippers then started to maintain and control posession of the puck and capitalized on scoring chances. Minnetonka then scored four more goals to take the game by a score of 5-1.

The Royals (14-8-1) will next travel to Eden Prairie (9-9-4) Jan. 24.
