It's been a rough stretch of days for several Hopkins athletic teams as the Royals boys and girls soccer, girls tennis and volleyball squads have all come up on the short end of the final decision in recent contests.
Boys Soccer
The Hopkins boys soccer team lost 1-0 to Prior Lake on Saturday and 5-1 to Wayzata on Tuesday to fall to 2-6-2 on the season.

The Hopkins girls soccer team fell to .500 following a 1-0 loss to Prior Lake last Saturday and 3-0 to Wayzata on Tuesday that gave the Royals a 3-3-4 mark this autumn.
Prior to Tuesday, Jillaine DeYoung and Emily Caouette led the team with three goals apiece.
Volleyball
Fifth-ranked Wayzata swept the Hopkins volleyball team (18-25, 18-25, 17-25) on Tuesday to drop the Royals to 5-6 this season. Individual statistics were not made available.
Girls Tennis
The Hopkins girls tennis team went 0-3 in its last three matchups, losing by 4-3 scores to Orono and Chanhassen in a round-robin showcase on Saturday and 5-2 to Eden Prairie on Tuesday. Individual statistics were not made available.
