After taking Wednesday off, the Hopkins athletic squads competed in a full Thursday schedule against opponents from both in and out of the Lake Conference.
Girls Soccer
The Hopkins girls soccer team claimed its second-straight tie against a top-10 opponent with a 1-1 deadlock against visiting Eden Prairie.

Boys Soccer

Like the girls, the Hopkins boys soccer team knotted up Eden Prairie by a 1-1 score as Christian Abundis claimed the Royals' goal, assisted by Rolando Barclay.
Goalkeeper Daniel Rosario-Torres made eight saves to help the Royals improve to 1-3-1 on the year. Hopkins plays at Cooper at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Cross-Country
The Hopkins cross-country teams competed at the Bauman/Rovn Invitational at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista, with the girls placing fifth and the boys sixth.
John Klecker led the Royals boys with a sixth-place finish in a time of 16 minutes 32.9 seconds, with Mary Klecker pacing the girls with a 16th-place run in 15:43.5.
Girls Tennis
The Hopkins girls tennis team defeated Minneapolis Southwest by a 6-1 score. Individual statistics were not made available.
Girls Swimming and Diving
