Storm Knocks Out Power for Dozens of Hopkins Households
Xcel Energy reported outages in the south of Hopkins Tuesday morning.

Dozens of Hopkins residents awoke to power outages Tuesday morning.
Xcel Energy reported that 57 Hopkins customers had outages as of 7:20 a.m. The outages were centered on the southern part of the community, just north of the Smetana Road border with Minnetonka.
Across the metro, about 71,000 people were experiencing outages. Xcel said it could be Thursday night before power is restored for some people—although crews are out and estimates are being revised frequently.
