The Vail Place Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that Vicky Couillard, who has been Co-Executive Director for the past three years, will become Executive Director, effective May 1.
Board Chair, Barbara Shaw of TCF Financial Services, stated, “The board has absolute confidence turning the reins over to Vicky Couillard. Vicky has been with Vail Place for over 23 years, demonstrating expertise and leadership in all areas: finance, programs, development, and marketing. Ms. Shaw went on to say, “Kathie Prieve, who shared the ED position with Vicky the past three years, will take on the new position of Director of Community Development. This change will give her greater opportunity to focus on public policy efforts and building relationships with Vail Place’s partners and supporters. Kathie’s knowledge and experience with the mental health system and the valuable relationships she has developed are a great asset for Vail Place.”
Vail Place is a Hennepin County nonprofit that helps people with serious mental illness (our “members”) get back on their feet by providing connections to essential services, support, and resources. We provide: PURPOSE, through shared work; DIRECTION, through employment, housing, and social programs; HOPE, by reconnecting members with community. Members come to us at our two locations, and we also reach out to them in their homes and places of work.
