Carol Gallagher and Otteau Christiansen will share their expertise at this weekend's Lake Home & Cabin Show.
Residents who stop by this weekend’s Lake Home & Cabin Show can expect to see a couple familiar faces.
Carol Gallagher and Otteau Christiansen—proprietors of Hopkins’ —will display their decorating prowess and conduct two seminars at the annual show, which is expected to draw thousands of visitors.
“We’re excited about it,” Gallagher said. “We’re really excited.”

The Minnetonka couple will share tips such as how to make a coat rack from skis and other inexpensive ways to add Northwoods flair to your cabin.

Gallagher and Christiansen will conduct their seminars at 3 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday on the Cabin Life Magazine Stage. They’ll also have a booth in space number 641, where they’ll show off a video and have a cabin-like display of some of their items to show people what they can do.
“We’re not really expecting to sell stuff,” Gallagher said. “It’s just a big marketing and networking event. We’ll just do what we do.”
Those who can’t catch the show can see Gallagher and Christiansen at 4 p.m. Thursday on KARE 11, where they’ll show off some of their best items to co-anchor Pat Evans.
The publicity reflects the store’s expanding familiarity to cabin enthusiasts across the state. In May, Gallagher and Christiansen will open another branch of the store in Cook, MN—an opening that takes .
