(VIDEO) Residents Come Together to Celebrate Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day of remembering—as its name suggests. It’s a day for recalling the sacrifices of fallen servicemen and servicewomen. But it’s also a day for coming together as a community.

Rain moved Monday’s Memorial Day service inside Legion hall. But that didn’t stop a variety of groups from paying their respects, including the following organizations:

• Albert Pike Masonic Lodge No. 237
• Hopkins Elks
• Knights of Columbus
• Military Order of the Cootie
• Military Order of the Purple Heart
• Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 62
• Hopkins Fire Department
