This year, 40 parents, guardians, and relatives graduated from the program, having attended at least four classes.

The Inver Grove Heights Schools parent program Academy of Powerful Parents (APP) is an annual class that connects preschool, kindergarten, and first grade parents, guardians, and relatives with the resources they need to start their student on a path to school success. The six class sessions focus on familiarizing parents with the school system, teaching them techniques that can help learning at home, and building relationships between parents and school staff. This year, 40 parents, guardians, and relatives graduated from the program, having attended at least four classes.

This year, APP classes were held at Hilltop and Salem Hills elementary schools and offered in English and Spanish. The Academy of Powerful Parents Program typically begins in February. Stay up to date on APP news at www.isd199.org/parents/app.
