• Charges: Man attacked opposing player during Inver Grove Heights soccer tournament (bringmethenews.com) — A weekend soccer tournament at an Inver Grove Heights park turned violent when a player from West St. Paul allegedly punched an opposing player, causing facial injuries that required surgery. Police say witnesses described the suspect as a repeatedly aggressive player, and he now faces felony-level assault charges. He remains in Dakota County Jail on conditional bond, with a court date set for mid-September.
