Elizabeth J. “Betty” Sands, 88, of Inver Grove Heights, died on Dec. 26, 2012 Retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Augusta Sands; brother, Kenneth Sands; and sister-in-law, Mildred Sands. Survived by nieces, Jeanne (Stu) Thompson, and Janet (Dave) Anderegg; and nephews, Thomas (Kathy) Sands, Joe Sands, and Ron (Lynn) Sands. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Historical Church of St. Peter, 1405 Sibley Memorial Highway, Mendota. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation at church one hour prior to Mass.
