Geraldine "Gerry" "Deed" Kavanaugh (nee Hurley), 78, of Inver Grove Heights passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Nov. 29, 2012. Preceded in death by husband, Ed; brothers, Len and Tom. Survived by children, Teresa (Mike) Oehler, Pat (Diane), Anne Linder and Barb (Patrick) Ahern; grandchildren, Daniel and David (Sheryl) Markin; Derek (Shannon), Brian (Melissa), Daniel (Danielle) Oehler and Kimberly (David) Schillings; Katie, Kellie & Patrick Kavanagh; Tommy, Mikey & Mary Linder; Shannon and Riley Ahern; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Thul & Peggy VanDusartz; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. Gerry was a secretary at St. John Vianney and Knox Presbyterian Churches. She loved going to the casino and having a good Irish party. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday. Visitation is 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to Mass at the Church of St. Patrick, 3535 72nd St., Inver Grove Heights. Interment St. Patrick's Church Cemetery. Memorials preferred or donor's choice.
