Construction Volunteers are essential for helping Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity achieve its mission. Those who participate in the construction of a home help to provide the opportunity for a family in need to have a decent and affordable place to call home. Construction experience is useful, but a willingness to pitch in is the only requirement. For safety reasons, children under the age of 16 are not allowed on site. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have adult supervision. Youth ages 16–17 are required to have one adult (21 years of age or older) for up to four youth. Construction Volunteers must volunteer on site for an entire workday.
The workday runs from 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Opportunities for involvement are always available, but more flexibility in scheduling exists from October-April. Construction training will occur onsite under the supervision of a Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity site staff.
Interested individuals volunteers should signup at http://tchabitat.volunteerhub.com. Opportunities for individuals or groups can be scheduled one time or on an on-going basis.
