Henry “Hank” Bruggemann passed away peacefully surrounded by family Dec. 14, 2011, after a courageous 6-year battle with lung cancer.
Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette (Tillie); beloved daughters and son-in-laws, Jean (Mark) Menard, Joan (Bart) Volkmann and Jane (Steve) Stoffel; and grandchildren Ashley and Andrew Stoffel and Brett Volkmann, sisters Irma Greengard and Martha Yeamen and many friends and relatives. Preceeded in death by parents, Henry and Marie Bruggemann, and sister, Erna Lyons. Henry was a man of high integrity and expectations and above all was a man of his word. He was a graduate of the South St. Paul High School Class of 1948 and was a founding member of the first SSP hockey team. He served as a Marine at Camp Pendleton and considered himself a member of the Corp to the end.
Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave E., Inver Grove Heights. Family will greet friends 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at English-Meeker & Kandt Funeral Home, 140 Eighth Ave. N., South St. Paul and at the church one hour before service.
