For the second year in a row, Inver Hills Community College student singers will don chef hats and aprons to serve a three-course spaghetti dinner and sing Italian songs during a fundraising event on March 23.
"It was a huge hit last year and I'm expecting a lot more family, community and other supporters to participate this year," said Stanley Rothrock, music professor at Inver Hills.
Last year about 50 people attended and the music department raised $300 to fund new tuxedos and dresses for the Inver Hills Community College Choir. This year proceeds from the event will support a new music department scholarship at Inver Hills.
For $15 per person (children under 6 years old are free), supporters can enjoy a three-course meal including bread, salad, spaghetti with sauce, dessert, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks as well as musical entertainment. The event will be held on March 23 in the social hall at the Macalester-Plymouth United Church, 1658 Lincoln Ave., Saint Paul.
