Janice Mae “Ma” LeMay, 69

Janice Mae “Ma” LeMay, 69, of South St. Paul, (nee Dreis). Surrounded by family, passed away peacefully Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 after a courageous battle with "Critter" (brain cancer) and "Bug" (bacterial infection). Born Janu. 1, 1944 and preceded in death by parents Anthony "Tony" and Iva Dreis of St. Paul. Survived by brothers Jim (Pat) Dreis and Jerry (Sue) Dreis. Married May 7, 1966 and devoted to her loving husband Gordon "Gordy". Most proud and committed to her five children: Curt (Yvonne) LeMay, Mark (Michelle) LeMay, Brian (Dawn) LeMay, Gary (Joanna) LeMay, and Carrie (Cory) Schindeldecker; and 12 grandchildren: Megan, Tony, Hunter, Max, Alyssa, Nathan, Julia, Brooke, Mitchell, Kaden, Afton, and Sarah. Graduate of Our Lady Of Peace High School in 1962, worked as a nursing aid at Miller Hospital, served lunch for many years to St. John Vianney School children, and retired after being a medical product quality assurance inspector. She loved attending the children's activities, partying and playing cards with friends, and hosting large family gatherings - where her ability to cook was legendary. She was Fun-loving, had a sparkling smile, and gave huge warm hugs. Her lively kind spirit and infectious laugh will be deeply missed. Memorial Mass 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at The Church of St. Augustine, 3rd Street North at 4th Avenue, South St. Paul, with a visitation from 9 to 11 a,m, at church. A reception to follow the Mass at the South St. Paul VFW. Special thanks to the U of M Fairview medical team for their devoted and wonderful care.
