New Support Group Starts For At-Home Moms In Inver Grove Heigths

The MOMS Club, an international non-profit support group for at-home mothers, is starting a new Chapter in Inver Grove Heights this month.

“With so many mothers working outside the home today, it can be extremely hard for at-home mothers to meet each other,” said Joni Shogren, founder and president of the new local group.  “The MOMS Club allows at-home mothers to get together in a supportive atmosphere.”

“What makes the group unique -- aside from the fact that it is the only international organization specifically for at-home mothers – is the wide range of activities that take place on a regular basis,” Joni noted.  “For example, we will have monthly meetings with interesting speakers and topics, park play dates, in-home play dates, group field trips, holiday activities and service projects benefiting needy children in the community,” she explained.  “Additionally, we will create activity groups for members that have similar interests, such as a babysitting swap or a coupon co-op,” Joni said.
