Robert LeRoy Maroney, 82, of Inver Grove Heights passed away Dec. 11 at home surrounded by family. Born in Faulkton, SD. Preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter and two siblings. Survived by loving wife, Viola; siblings, Lorrayne, Barbara, Delores, Shirley, Donna, Larry (Marilyn) and Kay (Tom); children, D'On (Fred), Denise (Richard), Duane and Doug; grandchildren,William, Brooke (Nick), Tiffany, Kasey, Randi, Alyssa, Chelsea, Justin, Nathan and Willem; great- grandchildren, Mackenzie, Evan and Zack; extended family, Eileen (Jim), Violet (Alois), Mavis (Edward), Dennis (Audrey). Bob proudly served his country from 1948-1952 in the Army 440th Signal Aviation Construction Battalion. He was wounded in active service and awarded the Purple Heart. Memorial service Saturday, Dec. 22, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2075 70th St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 3 to 5 pm, service 5 p.m., fellowship to follow. Private interment at Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
